Some sketches are a remake of an orchestra I illustrated long time ago.
Now it looks more expressive, more black lines and no color.
Drawn with markers on white heavy paper... man, I used dozens of them by now. :-)
First sales with various T-shirts.
A new experience with online sales at a commercial site.
Uploading my illustrations on the internet, after someone chooses the theme, pays and then will be printed by this provider and shipped.
They can even choose the color of the shirt. The style, etc.
I don't know the quality of the shirts, never had the fabric or the print-result in my hands.
So this is not really what I wanted to do.
Greek themes came in my mind... donkeys, cats, Gods, typical Greek scenes. The name 'Ble Mati Collection' versus '100% Greek’. My friend insisted on 100% Greek as a name… and … 100% GREEK was born!
And this new idea of opening an atelier-shop on Serifos came up. What a coincidence, the place we found has the name Zorba.
Some ideas how it could look like after. Will post a photo of the result.
Turquoise, salted caramel, Minoan red and ice white... So much time and effort, but really nice result, isn't it?
And how it finally looked like!
After many weeks of hard work, the place is got into a new shape.
Nice design, nice colors! Love it!!
Here we go... doors are open and the season can begin! So many interesting people come in! Great feedback! So happy!
Still trying to find the best spot for it... On the floor in the corner? Ot hanging it off the ceiling? Love these little stars when it turns!
Instagram-Post. Helena and the girls passed by and brought a lot of fun and positivity along. Thank you for the photo and promoting!
Is this E.T.? The little alien who came on our planet in the 80s? This rock is a part of the Cyclops' throne (Psaropyrgos). E.T. and the Cyclops have something in common... they are both from a different world. If they existed...
Strolling around in the fields, sitting at Psaropyrgos looking at Mega Livadi with a bird's eye on the view and finally watching the incredible sunset! A MUST GO!
Greece!! National holiday. The 200 years celebration officially is on 25th March 2021. Here a 'taste'... and I am thinking to create a new sketch expressing 200 years of independence. You'll see next summer!
Would you expect coming to a kafeneio and finding a mini market in there? Such a cosy place and friendly owner! I spent a whole afternoon there.
Bye bye and see you next year again! Happy winter!

Is there a secret to all these hearts on the beaches?
... The Sky is the Limit. Chora Serifos is full of surprises, beautiful spots and a photographer's inspiration.
Can you believe this is Athens?!
Warm wind, blue sky and click, click, click.
We took so many amazing photos today! Great photographer, thank you!!

What a sky! Sooo blue! Attica competing with the Greek islands.

Medusa in progress... soaked in paint. Next time I wear black pants and a black shirt when printing. What a mess! Hahaha...
The result is amazing though! Loooots of new shirts. Some new designs, some men shirts and more sizes.
Caught in the act.
Or did he approve the new production?
You want to know what it is, pass by and see...
More prints, more sizes, more colors. And all fabrics I cut and hand printed and then hand sewn. Each of them with a different zipper.
Bit late again, but finally here! In two days done and all set up and ready to start the island-summer-season!

Do you see the lion? Head up, paws in front. When the sun goes down, the fading light and shades make it even look like he sleeps. This mountain I named 'lion' on the hand drawn map. Majestically he sits on top of a mountain watching the bay in front.
It's all over the place to go all over the place. Free copies everywhere!
"Serifos is the iron lady of the Cyclades, full of myth and history.
Our island hides pleasant surprises that are waiting for you to discover with the help of this map.
Do not hesitate to explore Serifos using this valuable information!"
Revinthis Constantine,
the Mayor of Serifos
There was a time all women wanted to look like her...
and went on crazy diets.
Twiggy was a legend in the 60s and this bust is dedicated to her.
After a consistent search of 2 years I found it!
Original. Vintage. Mint condition!
And so she moved to Serifos.
Found this guy at a fleamarket. Good match with Twiggy. Okay, they have a diffence in age, but never mind.
"Mμμμ..." [Mmmm...] translated to English means "Yummy". Pannacotta with blueberries. Nothing better than that in the heat of August! Couldn't resist taking a foodie photo. I wasn't only 'mmm...', look at the nice photogenic ceramic bowl it comes with.
New map out!
Now it's much easier to find your way around in Chora.

Have fun exploring the beautiful sights and winding streets of Chora!

Have you ever been to a traditional Greek kafeneion? It is a mix between going out and being/feeling at home. Go once, you are a tourist. Go twice, you see probably people you have seen before. Go again, you are part of the 'parea' or 'family'. No need to order, the owner knows. Coffee in the morning or a glass of wine or tsipouro at night. It's is an atmosphere which you ONLY find in Greece.
Creative cooperation. Thank you guys for doing this together! :-))) So much fun working with you! And such a nice result!
What a nice surprise passing by at the new bus station this morning and seeing also our Chora-map. Thank you, dear anonymous!
I go for the 100. All my items are 100% Greek. Designed and handmade in Greece with Greek material, small Greek suppliers and Greek themes. And me? 100% Greek at heart!
So much 'amore'! Such a lovely couple! So cute baby! And the funniest dog with amazing eyes! Thank you for inviting! Na zisete! Wishing you a happy life and love!
What a cat!
He has one blue and one green eye.
He showed up today first time at the parking at Chora.
Sad enough, he is a young stray and roams around finding food or even a home.
Maybe someone would like to adopt him?
He's adorable!
P.S. no filter
See you soon again!
Isn't this the most beautiful plateia of the Cycladic islands? Bathed in bright light in spring. Lively, colorful and busy in summer. Relaxing and windy in autumn. Quiet and sunny in winter. And all year around it has the same pittoresque charm.
Merry Christmas to all of you!
Wishing you a happy holiday season!
And a good, healthy and joyful 2022 with a lot of freedom, adventures and precious moments!
Some thoughts about copying and the legal side.
Unfortunately there are alot of so named artists around (or shall we call them wanna-be's?) who just copy paste other people's ideas.
They turn someone else's illustrations into 3D.
Or use a text of someone's website.
Or shops on the same island who try to imitate the same concept, illustrations and products.
The difference between being authentic or creative is, that you do something from the heart and put thoughts and passion into it.
It takes a minute to copy and paste but it is not created with passion or uniqueness (apart from the fact that it is illegal).
It's just a copy...
The only creativity is to CREATE something, all the rest is like recycling someone else's idea ;-)
And customers recognize that too...
Let the she snow adventure begin :-))
After the UK press announcement in 2020 about Serifos airport,
now we are curious to hear about a Serifos ski lift in the foreign media...lol :-)))
Kira Sarakosti or in Greek Κυρά Σαρακοστή is Greek custom affiliated with the fasting period before Easter. Kathari Deytera (Clean Monday) is the first day of fasting and it ends on Holy Saturday, at midnight. This public holiday is celebrated with kite-flying and 'The Lady Lent' calendar counted down the 40 days of Lent. (It used to be 40 days, Sara[nta]kosti, which means 40 days). Kathari Deytera (Clean Monday) is the first day of fasting and it ends on Holy Saturday, at midnight. The Clean Monday is celebrated with kite-flying and traditional food as taramosalata, octopus, olives, shrimps and special kind of bread called "lagana" which is only baked that day.
First dear Soula told me that there is a full page article about 100% GREEK in the National Herald, US newspaper.
A Cycladic Island weekend feature.
Thank you for publishing!!
Then at the neighborhood's copyshop two days later, I see a color-copy of the same article.
10 minutes later, coincidently meeting girl who has made these photo copies... and guess what, she is also featured in the magazine.
What a coincidence!!!
An article about both of us in the US and we meet at a photo-copy place in Athens.
Some things happen for a reason! :-))
Panigyri is a church celebration mainly taking place on Greek islands or in the countryside.
They are held according to the names of the church and saints.
The festivals are held outside the churches, starting with the liturgy, followed by a meal prepared by locals and church members.
After musicians play traditional songs and everyone dances.
The festivity starts at night until the morning hours and continues also the following day.
Good morning from Serifos with handpicked fruits of a dear friend... yummy!!
Great friends, sunshine, colors and the sea!
What more do we want in life?
happy weekend to you all!
this is such a cute little boat outside Yacht Club. Dressed up in its finest gear, waiting to be photographed.
WOW! Thank you for sharing his amazing photo on instagram!
Fantastic interior, love your lightning and interior!

Sweet, hm?! The model resting, posing and enjoying the fresh basilicum.
Just because all my illustrations are black and white doesn't mean I don't love colors.
Actually I am crazy about all shades of blue and turquoise, pink, pastels...
But to create something which is calm, strong and bold, I choose for black lines.
They express in a simple way all I want to say.
And can always combined with looots of colors.
